
SSI Dive Control Specialist is our initial dive leadership level. It can be both fun and satisfying because you can do more than any other entry-level dive leader.
You will become both dive master and assistant instructor, once trained as an SSI Dive Control Specialist. With other agencies, these are separate courses. You'll study advanced physics, physiology and decompression theory. You'll practice advanced rescue techniques, fine-tune your diving skills and learn the basics of teaching.
As a DC you can:
The course takes between 8 to 10 days. A comprehensive training program comprising diving theories at instructor levels as well as practical session for both combined open and confined water.
The course consists of
Unlike all other courses, the DCS course requires the students to take on leadership roles and teach other divers. This allows the student to be able to learn from experience the necessary skills to lead.
Once completed, you will be able to assist instructors for lessons and have taken your first step to a successful career as a Diving Instructor.
The course will be conducted in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. The park is 5 km from the ferry terminal; a stone throw from our office.
The course cost from RM 3800 for the whole course including the certification exam.
